Resolved Duplicate Categories created on Product Import

Hello,

Thank you for your extremely useful product!

I just migrated from another platform to Joomla 3.8.1 and VirtueMart 3.2.4. I was able to successfully import our category structure. I also imported the products, but they are not yet associated with the proper categories.

I created a .csv with product_sku, product_ordering, and category_path. I am using * to delimit categories because we use / in some of the category names.

Each time I execute the import, new (duplicate categories are added and the products are placed in those new duplicate categories. I have attached my .csv file, which also used ^ for field delimiter and ~ for text delimiter.

How can I import the products into the proper existing categories without creating dupicate categories?

Hello,
The problem is with " character in your category_path field as your CSV file don't seem to be UTF-8 encoded. Save CSV file as UTF-8 encoded and do the import again.
