Hello,

I need to have a field "created_on" with only full year (2017), I set YY but I see the full time/date.

Why?

Thanks,
Davide

Hello Davide,

Where did you set YY format? Can you post a screenshot on your settings?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
First thing is that to get year you can just have Y in Date format field instead of YY. YY will duplicate the year value. And the problem of getting full date is because of column header set for this field. CSVI checks for the database date field name and any custom field name is ignored. Remove the column header and check the export.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,

just tested and it works, but I need to have the column header, I have to give the name of the column.

The other problem is that I need to have 2 created_on:
- one with Y
- one with d/m

How can I do it?

Thanks,
Davide

Hello Davide,

As i said earlier CSVI looks for database field names for applying the date format. You can change the name of the column in your export file after export is done.

The other problem is that I need to have 2 created_on:
- one with Y
- one with d/m

How can I do it?

Two columns with same name and two different values is not possible. You can try with some custom coding and set the file as a override for export.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Davide,

You can export the created_on two times or more but the Column header field must be different. Did you try that one?

Yes, but if it is differente the Date field is not working...

Hello Davide,

I ran a test and saw the issue, the format is always the same. We will fix that and post a patch when ready.

Anyway, is there a solution to have the today date in a field?
The only way to do that is to set the default value of the field to the date of today. Not very useful if you need to export it more than once.

Do I have to put the date manually?

I'm preparing a csv for a shipping courier and I need to have 2 columns:
- 1 with the year
- 1 with day and month

These dates must be with the day of the export, not of the order...

Thanks,
Davide

Hello Davide,

These dates must be with the day of the export, not of the order...
The created_on date will not be useful in this case because that is the date the order has been created.

You would need a field that exports the current time formatted to the current date. That doesn't exist in CSV Improved at the moment. To help you out I have extended the multi-replace plugin with a date field. You can use that to replace values on export. In your export you would add 2x the field custom and apply the replace rule you have created.

Attached is the updated multi-replace plugin, you can install this and you should see the Date option when you create a new Multi-replace plugin.

Let me know how it goes.
