I need to import some items with a multi-price variant field.
I have created THIS item manually and after I went to CSVI panel>Meintenance>Available fields and I pressed UPDATE button
After that I exported that product including all fields (exluding "id" ones) and I got the attached "EsportazioneTamponi.csv" file, so I edited that and I made "Tamponi_2.csv" and I iported that using first line data for configuration and not overwriting existing data.

The problem is that new item has only the lasst price variant in their custom fields and is missing all the other.
If now I export all my products I see what you can see in "EsportazioneTamponi (1).csv" file and HERE

I've read what you have written HERE for "Multiple Parameters With The Same Name", that seems to be my case, and I see that "custom_multiple">"Y~Y" field you are talking about is available for import in CSVI but not for export and so I've ignored it because I can't understand what it do.
Is this the cause of my problem? What I've to do?

Hello,

Indeed, you need to use the custom_multiple field to tell CSVI, there is more than one field with the same name.
Kind regards,

Hello,

Indeed, you need to use the custom_multiple field to tell CSVI, there is more than one field with the same name.

I have some problems importing some products. It is a bit difficult to explain in English so I simplify the case trying not to miss details of those that is causing me the problem.
The structure of my custom fields are like this:
XXX~YYY~ABCD~customfieldforall~customfieldforall~customfieldforall~textinput~ABCD~customfieldforall~customfieldforall~customfieldforall (where ABCD is and "editor-type" custom field, where textinput is a "text-plugin" field anche where XXX and YYY are two "string-type" custom field)
I can't understand what should be the structure of custom_multiple when importing the CSV file.
Case A: Y~Y~Y~Y~Y~Y
Case B: ~~~Y~Y~Y~~~Y~Y~Y
Case C: N~N~N~Y~Y~Y~N~N~Y~Y~Y
Case D: N~N~Y~Y~Y~Y~N~Y~Y~Y~Y
Case E: something else

I've tried a lot of combination and the best result I got was the correct import of all customfieldforall fields but missing "string-type" fields.

- I've attached my CSV file
- the imported products are these http://www.incisoriasacchetti.it/negozio-targhe/targhe/targhe-da-porta
- this is what I expected from the csv import http://www.incisoriasacchetti.it/negozio/targhe/targhe-da-porta/dl-dl-targa-da-porta-sagomata-ottone-bordo-lucido

Hello,

Your question is clear but there is no debug log. Please post your log of your import as well, so I can see what happens with your string fields.
Kind regards,

RolandD

I have so many logs that I hope not to be wrong by sending this one.

Hello,

I can't understand what should be the structure of custom_multiple when importing the CSV file.
You should have one value for each field you are importing. So taking your example:
XXX~YYY~ABCD~customfieldforall~customfieldforall~customfieldforall~textinput~ABCD~customfieldforall~customfieldforall~customfieldforall
you will need this
Y~Y~Y~Y~Y~Y~Y~Y~Y~Y~Y
There are 11 fields, so there must be 11 values for the custom_multiple field. This can be Y, N or empty.

but missing "string-type" fields.
You have a lot of fields but the string-type fields are the fields called Modello? The Modello fields are inserted without a problem and I can see it at your product as well. If that is not the field that is not importing let me know the name of the field to check.
Kind regards,

RolandD

You're right, I made a mistake. The missing fields are the last two editor-type strings.
You can see the difference between the firse link and the second one (where I've added manually again the missing field):
- LINK 1: http://www.incisoriasacchetti.it/negozio-targhe/targhe/targhe-da-porta/dl-dl-targa-da-porta-sagomata-ottone-bordo-lucido
- LINK 2 (corrected): http://www.incisoriasacchetti.it/negozio/targhe/targhe-da-porta/dl-dl-targa-da-porta-sagomata-ottone-bordo-lucido

Ok, let's clean up your file first. You have the Informazioni aggiuntive field in your file as custom_title value and as a regular column. Remove the column named Informazioni aggiuntive from your file so that this field is only handled by the custom_title column. The other field Font incisione is completely empty, so that won't import anything.

Looking at the log the custom_title is processed correctly if you see this:
INSERT INTO `nuvrj_virtuemart_product_customfields` (`virtuemart_product_id`,`virtuemart_custom_id`,`customfield_value`,`customfield_price`,`disabler`,`override`,`customfield_params`,`published`,`created_on`,`created_by`,`modified_on`,`modified_by`,`locked_on`,`locked_by`,`ordering`) VALUES ('333','87','<strong>Font Incisione</strong><br /><em>Nella parte bassa dello schermo puoi trovare l\'elenco completo dei caratteri utilizzabili per l\'incisione.</em><br /><em>Consultalo ed inserisci qui sotto la tua scelta.</em>','','0','0','','1','2015-10-19 00:08:30','374','2015-10-19 00:08:30','374','0000-00-00 00:00:00','0','2')

The only difference I see between those 2 links is the text Seleziona il colore dell'incisione or am I missing something else?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Everything solved!
The problem was the presence of the two column Informazioni aggiuntive and Font incisione (and some missing characters around)
Thank you!
