Hi there,

Can someone please help me with these 3?

1) Setting this thing up again I've forgotten how to run a rule that makes all words start with a capital letter. For example, "the brown cow" needs to read "The Brown Cow". I see cap first letter but not this option.
2) I can't recall how to run a comma buster rule that removes strips/every comma. IE, "It's a lovely, stunning, and beautiful day today, isn't it?" to output "It's a lovely stunning and beautiful day today isn't it?"
3) Finally, is there a way to make the .csv download a CSV (Comma delimited).csv not a CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited).csv file? The latter always fowls up the import into our shipping software whereas saving the file first as the former eliminates this.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Monica

Hello Monica,
1) Setting this thing up again I've forgotten how to run a rule that makes all words start with a capital letter. For example, "the brown cow" needs to read "The Brown Cow". I see cap first letter but not this option.

I have added a new option in Multi replace plugin for changing all words to start with a capital letter. Install the attached plugin file using Joomla Extension manager and in CSVI Rules page, create a new rule for CSVI Multi replace plugin with Operation set to Uppercase words. Apply the rule on the field you need to change the value and run import/export.

2) I can't recall how to run a comma buster rule that removes strips/every comma. IE, "It's a lovely, stunning, and beautiful day today, isn't it?" to output "It's a lovely stunning and beautiful day today isn't it?"

Using CSVI Multi replace rule plugin, select Operation as Find and Replace, in Find field set ,(comma) and leave Replace field to be empty. Method should be set to Regular text. Save the rule and apply it on the needed field.

3) Finally, is there a way to make the .csv download a CSV (Comma delimited).csv not a CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited).csv file? The latter always fowls up the import into our shipping software whereas saving the file first as the former eliminates this.

By default the file exported is UTF-8 encoded. There is no setting in CSVI to change the encoding. You can use any software program to convert it to non UTF-8 file as needed.
