Hi
We unzip and upload via FTP CSVI (com_ro_csvi_7.13.0.zip) in the Components directory (with the name com_ro_csvi, is this correct?) but it does not appear in the Component list of the admin. Our joomla version is 3.8.2 and we are currently run Php 7.2.23

Can you help us please?

Hello,

The way you install the extension is not correct unfortunately. The process is actually easier than that.

  1. Go to the extension manager
  2. Select the file on your computer to install RO CSVI
  3. Complete the installation by clicking on the Upload & Install
  4. After finishing the installation you will see the message 'Installing component was successful'
  5. RO CSVI is now ready to be used

Let me know if that helps.

This is really only for pre-sale questions. Please post your questions in the RO CSVI category. You must be logged-in and have an active subscription to be able to post there. We do not provide support without an active subscription.
Kind regards,

Unfortunatelly, we can't use the Installer as it is locked and we can't unlock it as we don't know who or how it was blocked in the first place. Any suggestions on how to install the module? Via FTP or otherwise?
Thank you

The user login you are using may not have access to Extension manager. Try logging in as Super user.

Any suggestions on how to install the module? Via FTP or otherwise?

We are suggesting Joomla Extension manager for installation as it is just not about uploading files using FTP but Joomla does many inserts into database tables about the installed extension. You may not be able to do all those inserts manually. By installing the extension using Joomla Extension Manager these database inserts are taken care automatically.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

It would be good to find out how to access that as this should just be an access issue.

You can check the How do you recover or reset your admin password document to create a temporary super user. After that you have full access to your site to fix the issues.

Hi,

And thanks to all. The component is installed, but we have a new problem, we try to export, but RO CSVI drop a message error:
You have not configured Joomla! to use the MySQLi database type, this is required to be able to run the export. To set the database type, go to Global configuration and on the Server tab select MySQLi as Database Type under Database Settings.

The database is set in MySQLi, but the message remains appear and we unable to export nothing...

Hello,
That is really strange. Your screenshot shows that you have set database type as MySQLi but RO CSVI will throw this error only when it is not set to MySQLi. It may sound silly but can you open your configuration.php file in Joomla root folder and check what is set for variable $dbtype?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi..!

It´s strange, yes.
And thanks Tharuna, the variable $dbtype is set as:

$dbtype = 'mysql';

It´s correct or we have to set as 'mysqli' here?

Hello,

That is wrong and so you are seeing the error on export. You can either edit the $dbtype and set it to 'mysqli' or select MySQLi in Joomla Global configuration page and save it so the configuration file is updated.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

I could not understand on what you mean by "example data to choice". To export your content you should use Joomla content export as explained in the document.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
