Dear Roland
There have been problems since the latest update.
Now, after three days of testing, some cron jobs are crashing.
There are three cron jobs that have now stopped. I'm attaching the log files:
FIABER4 -> com_csvi.log.11
FIABER3 -> com_csvi.log.10
FIABER9 -> com_csvi.log.5
I made this list because you need to see what's in log file 10.
I see something strange: at the beginning there are log files from FIABER9 (they shouldn't be there). The URL should be xxxxxx/domains/fatelettronica.it/public_html/tmp/com_csvi/FIABER3.txt.
Then at line 1021, go to line 0 of the FIABER3 file.
The products from line 0 to 1021 have the SKU with the final extension -ICIN, which identifies one of our suppliers. After line 1021, the FIABER3 log begins, and there are products with SKUs ending in -RNN.
I checked the FIABER3 file and there are no products with SKU XXXX-ICIN.
If you view the com_csvi.log.5 file, there are products with SKUs ending in -ICIN up to line 660.
I hope I've explained what I found well.

Hi,
How are your cronjobs configured? Is it 1 cronjob that triggers all these imports or is it multiple cronjobs?
The name of the log files is always com_csvi.log.RUNID.txt. Looking at that the logfiles you posted should have been imported as 5,9,10,11,13. Linking that to the import files that would be:
There is no -ICIN in FIABER3 because that starts from line 215202 in logfile 10. Once FIABER3 is being processed from line 215202 you will see the products end with -RNN. As said before, this is one log file with 2 different imports from 2 different dates.
Does that explain what you are seeing? Is there still a problem? As far as I can see now, it is just a little confusion because there are 2 imports in one file.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
There have been problems since the latest update.Cronjobs themselves hasn't changed for quite some releases but you said it happens since 9.7.0? There have been no changes to the VirtueMart Product import in the last release.

Dear Roland
The big and very important problem is that since you installed version 9.7.0, the cron jobs no longer complete. I haven't changed anything.
As described and as I sent you the logs, these five cron jobs don't complete, and that's bad.
My site doesn't have updated products, and consequently, the major marketplaces aren't updated either.
DO I HAVE TO reinstall the previous version?
Regards
Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,
Let me know how it goes.
The big and very important problem is that since you installed version 9.7.0, the cron jobs no longer complete.Did we install RO CSVI for you? As for the cronjobs no longer completing, I do not think it is related to version 9.7.0 if you came from 9.6.0 because nothing changed for cron jobs specifically.
As described and as I sent you the logs, these five cron jobs don't complete, and that's bad.Yes, I can see in the CSVI logs that it suddenly stops and the only reason I can think of for that is that the process got killed by the server. Once that happens, RO CSVI is dead and cannot report anything anymore. There usually is no other reason. However I want to ask what does the server report for error that the cronjob did not end successfully? Could it be because all these cronjobs run at the same time, that the server is overloaded?
DO I HAVE TO reinstall the previous version? You can install 9.6.0 without a problem. I will be surprised if the problem is resolved by that. Sure, you can give it a try of course.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
RolandD

Dear Roland
Reinstalling 9.6.0 is not possible.
Error: Downgrading from version 9.7.0 to version 9.6.0 is not allowed.
As already mentioned: with v.9.6.1, the cron jobs ran fine; nothing was changed on the server or Joomla/Vistuemart. After installing v.9.7.0, only a few cron jobs stopped. Others completed successfully.
If you changed anything, see the Release Notes.
Version 9.7.0 [2026-04-07]
* Fixed Joomla reporting availabletable fields as being checked out
* Fixed check for article ID in Joomla Content import
* Fixed file metadata gets erased when importing existing images with no processing in VirtueMart Product import
* Fixed number of lines in debug log not respecting setting
* Fixed reloading tasks to only process files called tasks.sql
* Fixed storing non-repeatable subform value in Joomla core imports
+ Added option to configure which characters to replace when generating an image filename from the product name
+ Added option to delete related products in VirtueMart Related Product import
+ Added option to filter on usergroups in Joomla Contacts export
/ Changed retrieving product prices to also check shopper group in VirtueMart Price export
/ Changed retrieving product prices to also check shopper group in VirtueMart Product export
Best regards
Lorenzo

Dear Roland
I wanted to let you know you changed something because while translating, I realized you hadn't made any changes. But it doesn't matter.
This morning I checked the server data and, as you mentioned, I found excessive RAM usage, reaching the 4 GB limit.
Running multiple cron jobs simultaneously hadn't caused any problems until the update, but now something has changed, causing RAM usage to increase too much. The size of the uploaded CSV files is more or less the same. I'll see about reducing the file size, though.
I'll let you know.
Best regards
Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,
That really is the only thing that I think may be of influence because your logfiles go over 200.000 lines.
Let me know.
This morning I checked the server data and, as you mentioned, I found excessive RAM usage, reaching the 4 GB limit. That memory was being used by PHP?

The number of lines in the log file is configurable in the global settings. The default is 20 but yours is much higher looking at the logs. Now in the previous version the number configured in the global settings was not respected and as such log files always only logged the first 20 lines. What happens if you reset the global setting back to 20. Does the memory still spike?
