Hello, as I mention in the title, I am trying to import massively some articles, but i am facing some issues. Both issues seem related.

Firstly i've tried two fields in order to import the text. "introtext" and "fulltext" . In both the issues are present. Initially, I managed to import the articles sometimes almost successfully. The only issue was that "read more" appearing at the beginning of every article. Now, as you can see in the screenshots provided, the readmore cuts the text randomly, and puts itself there. Then another strange behaviour is that it duplicates the first part of the phrase and puts it bellow the "read more".

The text is HTML formatted, but this doesn't seem to be related. Also, before each import i delete previous records, and i've tried clearing cache. Capture1.PNG Capture.PNG com_csvi.log.12.txt I attach the log file from the last import.

Hello,

You dont have introtext field in your import but only fulltext field and that has been imported. Your introtext is empty and so Read More shows at the beginning of every article.

Now, as you can see in the screenshots provided, the readmore cuts the text randomly, and puts itself there. Then another strange behaviour is that it duplicates the first part of the phrase and puts it bellow the "read more".

Is this the correct debug log you attached? There are no entries which shows content has been updated. Can you post your import file? I will run the import here and check.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks for the swift reply. As i mentioned above, i've tried both fields, but the result is the same. Also note that i do delete the old articles before i redo an import.

So I did a new import, with introtext field instead of fulltext. The results are the same. I attach the new log.

I ran import here with your file and the imported Joomla articles looks good to me. I have attached a screenshot of one of the article. If there is any specific article i should check or if i am missing something please let me know.

Also, which Joomla version are you using?

I am using Joomla! 3.8.10 Stable.

So since the import run fine on you, it seems that the problem is in my end.

By the way, in your screenshot i see only the first paragraph. I can't see further below, so did you notice if the whole HTML text got imported properly?

That was the whole of text which got imported from the import file and that is because the file had only that much of content for that article. It was not only for that article but even for others, what was there in your import file was imported. See the attached screenshot for the contents inside text enclosures.

Thank you very much for the excellent assistance. I will try to find out what might cause this issue on my end, and update the thread.

Finally found what's wrong. Now the articles import normally without any issue. The problem was the Field Delimiter. It was set (default) as "," . I changed that to " " " and now it imports perfectly.

Hello,
As per your import file Field delimiter is ^ and test enclosure in your debug log shows empty. Not sure if you are talking about Text enclosure or Field delimiter. But anyways glad to know that you solved your issue.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

It was the Field Delimiter which caused the problem. I didn't make any change to the text enclosure field, on the successful import.
