Resolved Child product no dropdown

Just looked at the screenshot but I can't find that custom field in my VirtueMart installation and it is different from the other thread I mentioned earlier because that has the Generic child variant field instead of the Child variant. It has quite a few untranslated strings as well in your screenshot. I guess this is a left over field from an older VirtueMart version. Don't you have the Generic child variant?

Now I do see that the custom field for the parent is being stored:

how does this product look like in the backend when you go to Custom fields?

I would need to track down a VirtueMart version with this custom field to see how things are stored if you can't use the Generic child variant.

Just add "product_name" to custom_value?

So I think this is the same issue as discussed in this thread. Which means you need to add the value product_name to the custom_value field for the parent products.

Can you give that a try and if it doesn't work, post me the debug log again and a screenshot of your custom field and the product where it works?

I use child variant.
There are 4 failures, 3 times a wrong photo and 1 field that is not active yet.
Debug included.
