Resolved Category Import creating new categories instead of updating existing categories

Hi, I have about 1000 categories that I am trying to add meta info and a description for via CSVI for Virtuemart. I did a category export so that I had the correct paths and used that spreadsheet to make my updates. I have not made any changes to the category_path field. Upon import, all new categories are being created that are duplicates of the existing categories. The correct meta and description info is included, but there are no products associated with the new categories and then I have two of everything instead of just updating the original categories. Can you please take a look at my files and let me know what I'm doing wrong? I am using Joomla 3.8.7, Virtuemart 3.2.14 and CSVI 7.6.1. My import file is attached as well as the debug log. Please let me know if there is anything else you need. Thank you!

Hello,
The problem is there is an extra space before and after each category in category_path field in your import file. This is making the new categories to be created as the categories stored in the database may not have this space. Can you post the debug log of the category export you did for making the changes to meta info? Will see what is creating this extra space from the debug log.

To solve this for import, you can add template fields for your category import template and set Use file for configuration to No in your import template settings. This setting will tell CSVI to use template fields instead of column headers in import file. You can then create a multi replace rule with Operation as Find and Replace, in Find field enter a space and in replace field give nothing. Save this rule and then apply it on category_path field in your template fields. Run the import and check.
