Hi

I cannot get the export of VM categories to work. The Outputted CSV file just contains html warning page rather than any data. In it there is an SQL error

Error: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 3 SQL=SELECT file_url

I've set up a custom export to export the following fields.

metadesc
file_url
virtuemart_category_id
slug
category_name
category_description

Find resulting CSV file attached

Cheers

I've tried adjusting the export.php file as suggested below to

SET OPTION SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1

and

SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1

but neither work

Hello,

There is an edit button available to add info to your original post ;)

The issue can occur when a category has no image linked to it. Attached is a patch file, you can load and the export should be good to go then.

Many thanks, that has fixed the issue, it was because I had categories without an image.

I'll also try and gets to grips with forum decorum better

I've applied the patch, and I get an export file but with only 2 categories, not the 30 or so categories I have set up. There's no error, just 2 records processed. Attached are the log and dumps of the VM category tables. Thanks for your help. I have a similar issue with VM Shipping export.

Hello,

In your template on the File tab set the Record Grouping to No and you should be able to get all your categories.
Kind regards,

RolandD
