Hi Roland

I´m using the same CSV file structure that works fine in others sites but I can´t get the images, large and thumbnails in this one.
I´ve been reading topics and tutorials but I can´t find the reason why.
I send you the debug log, a screenshot of the image configuration and an example of the csv.
The path is set to: images/stories/virtuemart/product/

Best regards!!

Hello,

There is nothing wrong with your file or template. I have tested the file with the same template settings and it runs without a problem on CSVI 5 and 6.

Where it goes wrong on your site is here:

[DEBUG] Creating a thumbnail from /var/www/vhosts/http://17estudioweb.es/httpdocs/images/stories/virtuemart/product/1.jpg to /var/www/vhosts/http://17estudioweb.es/httpdocs/images/stories/virtuemart/product/resized/1.jpg
[DEBUG] Thumbnail has not been created
Let's see if the file images/stories/virtuemart/product/1.jpg exists. Does it exist? Is there write permission for the images/stories/virtuemart/product/resized folder?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland

Let's see if the file images/stories/virtuemart/product/1.jpg exists. Does it exist?

Yes, exists, but its size is 0 kb :(

Is there write permission for the images/stories/virtuemart/product/resized folder?

Yes, folder and subfolders are set to 0755 permissions.

We have seen that the thumbnail is not created. Large image is imported with 0 kb and thumbnails are not created. We have tested with differents images and we get the same error.

Best regards

Hello,

Yes, exists, but its size is 0 kb
That is the problem then. So the question becomes why this file cannot be written. CSVI doesn't operate different on this site as compared to your other sites. The download works fine here as well, so there must be something with that site.

Is the tmp/com_csvi folder writable? You can check that also on the About page of CSVI. Double check as well on the server.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,

Uploading a file via FTP is a different approach than storing a file on server via code. See it as 2 different entrance doors. One is open and the other is closed. Why is that server door closed? That is a good question.

Try something like this. Put a file on your server with ftp in the root, so you get an image URL like http://www.mysite.com/image.jpg. Now use this URL in your import file value for the file_url field. Does that save the image in the product folder?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,

So it has nothing to do with the external server then, it really has to do with your own site. If it is not the write rights, it might be the user setup. That is something I can't judge since I am not your system administrator. It would be good to see what is different with this site compared to your other sites.
Kind regards,

RolandD
