Resolved Can not import J3 menu items in J4

Hi! We are migrating some content from a J3 to a J4 website. The content categories en articles went fine. But the menu items won't show up. I does look like the inport process works (no errors as far as I can see) but the items do not show up in the menu.

We have export items from one menu (hoofdmenu). This menu is already present on the new site with the same name and contain just one item (home). The items form the export need to be added to the menu on the J4 website.

I used the export menu (migrate) example template on the J3 website and the inport menu (migrate) import template on the J4 website.

Can you help me out?

Hello,
Your export file is fine except that language field is duplicated. Same alias in submenu item should not be a problem. But I do see the error "Cannot add Joomla menu. Error: Incorrect integer value: '*' for column `stand01_db2`.`lvb7a_menu`.`client_id` at row 1" in import debug log. This is because of duplicated language field.

Please try doing the following

1. In Example Joomla Menu Export Migrate template in Joomla 3 installation remove the second language template field.
2. Run the export to get latest file for import
3. Clean up the menu items which were imported earlier in Joomla 4 site.
4. Run import with latest export file and check.
