Can you explain what you mean by 3 generations? may be an example would be better.

I'll give you an example:

For TROUSERS RED XXL

Generation 1: TROUSERS .......: Type
Generation 2: RED ..................: Color
Generation 3: XXL....................: Size

Ok so TROUSERS/RED/XXL is a category_path and your calculation rule is created with parent category TROUSERS and you need to apply this calculation rule to child category RED and XXL. Is that what you are asking for?

Yes but not exactly because only generation 1 "TROUSERS" is in a category.
The others mustn't be in a categoy not to appear all together.

You need to apply the calculation rule to each individual category as per VirtueMart else default calculation rule is applied on products.

To do it with CSVI use VirtueMart calculation rule import and in import file in category_path field set value as TROUSERS|TROUSERS/RED|TROUSERS/RED/XXL so calculation rule is applied to parent and also child categories.

The others mustn't be in a categoy not to appear all together.

If there no category set VirtueMart applies the default calculation rule to products. You can try doing the same in VirtueMart calculation rule page and also in VirtueMart products page.
