Hello:

We are exporting a Google products feed from Virtuemart.

We are exporting picture_url field among others.

It sometimes export the correct URL but majority of times not. Examples:

- Good image URL: https://www.domain.com/images/stories/virtuemart/product/image01.jpg
- Bad image URL (lacks folders): https://www.domain.com/image01.jpg

Do you know why?

Thank you and best regards

Hello,
You can run an import using RO CSVI and correct the image URLs. To do that using VirtueMart Media export template, export file_url field. Then create VirtueMart media import template and on Image tab in the import template set Location product files field to images/virtuemart/product/, save the template and run the import. This should correct the image paths. Let me know on how it goes.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
It sometimes export the correct URL but majority of times not. Examples:

It is possible that the images have been stored in #___virtuemart_medias table in database without folder path images/virtuemart/product/ . Were these images imported using RO CSVI? Do you see the images for products on Backend in VirtueMart Products page?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello, Tharuna:

You are right, some images have been stored in #__virtuemart_medias table in database without folder path.

I'm not sure if images were imported using CSVI, probably yes.

Yes, we see the images for products on Backend in VirtueMart Products page.

Should we fix folder path in database?

Thank you and best regards

Hello,
Make sure to take a backup of your database before you run the import. You can do that using RO CSVI Maintenance menu, select VirtueMart in first dropdown and Backup database in second option. This option will backup all the VirtueMart tables.

Tharuna

I'm not able to export and import again all image data. Importing is not working properly, it gets stucks.

But, when we open a product in Virtuemart backend and save it, image URL field in database gets correct value.

Thank you and best regards

Hello,
Please post the import debug log and sample of your import file to check. To get the debug log check How to collect debug information? document.
