Which existing field do i map product_delete to, or how do i create a new field from scratch?

product_delete is a CSVI field which is available by default in template fields for VirtueMart product import template. You don't have to map this field with any field. If the value of product_delete is set to 1 then the corresponding product will be deleted. If you don't see this field try updating your available fields.

Yes, but in the guide you say to create an export template, and product_delete does not seem to be a field for export.

I do not think this relates to my available fields, as I do have product_delete available for import templates, as you say above.

yes, product_delete is not available for product export template but only for import. You need to add it to your import file or to your template fields.

I see that the tutorial is causing a little confusion. The product_delete is indeed not a field available for export but it should be the field called custom with the column header set to product_delete and the default value to Y. Hope that makes sense.

We will update the tutorial to explain this better.
