Oh it has been a long week, lol. Yes im still getting strange import behaviour. I have a template set up for standard products with custom fields.I have multiple categories per product, and have separated them by the | character in the import. However, new categories have been created?

I have had a look and when combining the category separator '/' within the | | for each category, the / is being ignored and replaced by a space? Which then adds new categories? Am i doing something wrong?

I dont see you have multiple categories for products in the import file you sent as email. Am i missing something?

Your debug log says that you have your categories separated by /, CSVI has done a check if the category already exist in database and has created new one if not, it has also created product category reference if not there already. This all seems good to me. Can you please explain the issue you have here?
