Hello-
I have a couple of issues. There are a couple of items in my spreadsheet that have apostrophes in the description. Instead of the apostrophe showing when I upload, it is replace by a ? mark. I did a search on the forum and saw that someone was having an issue with an apostrophe in the item title. I uploaded the file that was in that post and it didn't fix my issue. Here is a link:

The second issue I have is that the first item in the CSV file isn't importing. I have 5 items on the spreadsheet and only 4 of them were imported.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time.

Your file is not UTF-8 encoded and that is the reason apostrophes are replaced with question marks. Try encoding your import file and then do the import. That should fix the issue.

The second issue I have is that the first item in the CSV file isn't importing. I have 5 items on the spreadsheet and only 4 of them were imported.

You need to send us your import debug log to check on this. If you don't know how to get the debug log, check 'Where to get the debug information?' on top of this page.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna-
Thank you so very much for the response. I saved the CSV file with UTF-8 encoding and then re-imported the file. The apostrophes are still replaced with a question mark in the descriptions.

I've attached the debug log that shows that only 4 items were imported when there are 5 on the spreadsheet. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Hello,
I am not sure now you converted your csv file but the conversion seems not good. You can follow the our Save a CSV file as UTF-8 tutorial. This will help you to convert your import file in a good format. I also see that only four items are imported from your debug log. The file format could be a reason for it. Try converting your file as explained in the linked document and try import. That should solve all your issues.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna-
I installed Open Office and saved the file as per the instructions. That took care of the apostrophe issue. Thank you for that. It didn't take care of the 1st item not being imported though. I can work around that. Thank you again for your help.
