Hi Guys I'm having no luck in importing Akeeba Subs Users from my CSV file - not even a 1 line sample - came file imports OK using standard Akeeba import but of course I need all the custom field data also - Why I purchased the PRO version.

Attached is my sample CSV - I've even created all matching fields in my template.
When hitting process - it runs but no records are created - times out even with the one line file.
File is Mac so I set my template to that

Hello,

Let's start by cleaning up the template. You need to empty all the settings for XML node (you are not importing an XML file) and the Template field name needs to be emptied, this is used for other options. So you only have the fieldnames in the column Field name.

On the File tab empty the Record name under XML options, you are not importing an XML file.

Looking at the debug log I see that the fields name and businessname are switched around. Your template has first businessname and then name while your file has name first and then businessname. So that will need to be fixed.

You can turn off the Override system limits, since this only works if the server allows for it. It may be better to change the lines per import. However let's first get this one line import to go.

The CSV file you created itself looks good.

After you made the changes, run the import again and let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Still same error?
It doesn't even start by looking at the debug log. This indicates another problem. The request to start the import might not reach the server. This may be caused by a plugin since your file does import here.

Please follow the steps outlined in this document and let me know what it tells you.

You can also check the Conflict with plugins page to see if you have any of these plugins active.
Kind regards,

RolandD

I've also checked for suspect plugins but have none of the ones mentioned.

Not getting any response does explain why the import doesn't start. Question becomes, why is there no response. If you can send me login details for both the website and FTP I can have a look for you.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,

The problem is the Mac line-endings, they were for some reason not read. So I moved the setting for reading Mac line-endings to the start of CSVI and now it works as expected. For now you can use it with my change and I will investigate this further on my test system.

The user file did import in full now.
Kind regards,

RolandD
