Updated to 6.3 and getting:

An error has occured during the import. Below the information received from the server.
Status error: 403
Status message: Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /administrator/components/com_csvi/rantai/rantai.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

error....any ideas?

Usually caused by security plugins used like Admin Tools or a setting in htaccess. This is something outside of CSVI as it is simply the system telling CSVI it is not allowed to access it's own file.

It's odd that you get it with CSVI 6.3 because it has been the same since it's inception in CSVI 6.0. Something else must have changed on the site/server.
Kind regards,

I used the default .htaccess file and that seems to let it work.....

What is strange is that it works right up until import preview.....it only fails when "start import" was hit......

I haven't changed the .htaccess file at all.....so not sure why its a problem all of a sudden.

Not strange because that is when the rantai.php file is called.

Not using any security plugins?

Nothing more I can add to my previous reply. CSVI is trying to access that file but something is stopping it.
Kind regards,

No added security plugins. Hmm. I've updated my image gallery module and a few others, but nothing security related.

Clearly the .htaccess file is problematic for some reason, I'll have to find a new version of it and update accordingly.

The default htaccess that comes with Joomla should be working fine.
