Resolved Add VM Customfield to every product

Hi,

I wonder if there is an easy way to do the following with CSV improved: Add a custom field to every product in virtuemart. The customfield value remains the same for every product.

In the corresponding vm table 'xxx_virtuemart_product_customfields' each line is virtually the same with the exception of the unique 'virtuemart_custom_id' and the 'virtuemart_product_id'.

Since I want to apply it to every product I can do it directly in SQL, but it would nice to know if there is an workflow that works with csvi.

Hello Jens,

You will need to update the Available Fields in CSVI, so it can find your custom field. If this is a regular custom field you can simply include it in your CSV file as an extra column and fill it as needed for each product.

You can even leave it out of the CSV file and add the field to the end of your field list in the template with a default value and it will be applied to every product imported.
