What is the difference between using your plug-in and JoomDonation’s Stripe Plug-in.
I have not done any comparison between the functionalities but RO Payments is a dedicated payment bridge and supports multiple extensions and multiple payment providers. In addition RO Payments works with profiles, so you can have different Stripe accounts on one website for different purposes, think of donations for example where each cause has their own Stripe details. In addition RO Payments has other features such as a payment page.
My big question is what data gets sent to stripe?
Currently we are sending the following data:
- Amount
- Currency
- Description
- Email if known
This is sent to get a payment reference. When the form is rendered that is done with JavaScript and is hosted by Stripe itself.
Is there a better option than JoomDonation so that info gets sent to Stripe?
Do you have a need to send more info to Stripe? Currently we are using the minimum to make a payment.
