Hello,
is it possible to set the ROCSVI import of VM products so that the value is inserted only in empty fields? If there is a value, do not overwrite it.
The "overwrite existing data" setting prevents any further writing of data to the product.

Thanks a lot.

Hello,
You do not have an active subscription with RO CSVI to get support on issues.

If there is a value in import file and database field is empty, RO CSVI writes the value to empty field. If there is already a value in database then value from import file will be updated. You can use skip template field for import columns which already have a value in database and should not be updated on import.

The "overwrite existing data" setting prevents any further writing of data to the product.

Correct. Setting this field to No will not update a row which is already existing.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Tharuna,
Thank you very much for the answer, I will definitely buy a subscription. I can't exist without the ROCSVI component.

I have the opposite problem. There is no value in the database and I need to overwrite it with a value from a file. But I don't want to override values for other products where the value in the database is. Specifically, we are talking about product_name.

The problem here is RO CSVI does not know which product_name is empty in database and which one has a value. If the product row is available in import file, the values are updated regardless of value in database. The current RO CSVI rules process the values from import file but not with database values. Is there any way you know which products have empty product_name and which products have a value?
Kind regards,

Tharuna
