Hello.

I'm using Yoo Theme's ZOO to organize products and articles but would like to migrate from ZOO to the Joomla native articles.

Is this possible using RO CSVI?

Hello,
I had a look at how Zoo stores its articles using free version of Zoo extension. Zoo categories will be migrated as Joomla categories and Zoo items will be migrated as Joomla articles. Both of these imports, Joomla categories and Joomla articles are possible with RO CSVI. The issue will be on how will you export Zoo items into CSV file. Does the paid version of this Zoo extension has this feature of export?

You can check and test the Joomla categories and Joomla articles imports using our demo website here https://demo.rolandd.com/administrator/
Kind regards,

Tharuna

ZOO generates a CSV file. I tried to upload it to your demo site but it didn't work. Is there anything I need to do to the file before attempting to populate the Joomla Content or Categories?

Hello,
RO CSVI will not know which fields of Zoo extension to be used for Joomla categories or Joomla content so you need to map Zoo fields to Joomla categories and Joomla content fields. Can you post the CSV file exported from Zoo extension? I can help you setup Joomla categories on our demo site so you know on how to do it for Joomla articles.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
As i mentioned before you need two import templates to migrate Zoo articles to Joomla articles. With RO CSVI you can do both of these imports with your single CSV file. I created one of these template with name Zoo to Joomla Categories on our demo site to import Joomla categories from your CSV file. You need to upload your CSV file in this template and can see Joomla categories created. The problem is our demo site resets every 6 hours, reset happens even for template and Joomla categories. So incase if the template is deleted you can load the attached XML template on our demo site and run your import. To load the template XML on demo site go to RO CSVI Maintenance page, select RO CSVI in first drop down, restore template in second option and select the template XML. RO CSVI will then restore this template. You can see the template in RO CSVI Templates page and can run the import from Import page.

You will need to do Joomla content import to complete your migration and that is using another import template. Let me know if you need any more clarifications.
