Hello,

I was using your demo site, but unfortunatly the Menu items are not working

RO CSVI

Joomla Articles Export
Joomla Categories Export
HikaShop Product Export
VirtueMart Product Export

They say, that a specific template is missing.

I am looking for an export function of joomla articles with custom fields...mit with the content that is shown in the frontend, not the content in the backend... do I have any chance to get this wit your component?

Thanks in advance!!

Hello Ines,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Now I am not sure which demo site you used, the Joomla 3 or the Joomla 4 one but both are working now. What can happen is that somebody tested an import and broke the site. The site gets reset regularly but you may have had bad luck getting to a site that was not reset yet. For now I assume we talk about the Joomla 4 demo site at https://demo4.rolandd.com .

  • Joomla Articles Export template is called Example Joomla Content Export
  • Joomla Categories Export is called Example Joomla Category Export
  • HikaShop Product Export is called Example Hikashop Product Export
  • VirtueMart Product Export is called Example VirtueMart Product Export
That should get you going with testing these templates.

Custom fields are not in the example templates because we do not know what the names are of your custom fields. However it is easy to add by doing an Update on the Available Fields page, so RO CSVI can index your custom fields. After that you can add the fields to your template and run the export.

The content in the frontend is usually the parsed content, now RO CSVI does not run the content plugin triggers during export. Is what you show on the frontend so different from what is shown in the backend?

Let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Ines,

So now I realize why we are confused. You were talking about the links on the front-end while I was thinking about the backend. Now I have cleaned up the demo site so the links work again and the refresh was not set correctly, so that has been set now, so it will refresh periodically.

I hope that explains.
Kind regards,

RolandD
