Is it possible to easily do a complete Hikashop export and then import into Hikashop on a new Joomla site and a different joomla version
Accepted Answer Pending Moderation
Hello,
RO CSVI installation comes with inbuilt templates which can help to export data from one site and import to another. You can check these templates on Our demo site. You can do export and import of sample data with HikaShop templates available on the demo site. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi,

In this case I would recommend to just export all hikashop tables from the old database and import them into the new database and then install HikaShop via Joomla. HikaShop should take care of the database to make sure it is up-to-date.

This is much faster and easier than to try and build your own export and import. to migrate it all over.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thank you Roland.
I am not skilled in php!
however is this the correct workflow:
Move all images to the new website
Export all hikashop tables from phpmyadmin
open new database
Import files to new database
Upload Hikashop.
Sorry to ask you...
Are there other tables or information that also need to be selected? what about any possible Joomla related files?
FYI I was a user of your fantastic software before hence my questions.

Thank you for your help
Kind regards
Tony

Hi Tony,

That workflow looks fine to me. There are no other tables I am aware of that are needed, perhaps the users table but not sure if you need those. Otherwise it is best to ask the HikaShop team what else might be needed. They will know for sure.
Kind regards,
