Hi,
I saw that you have integrated new custom fields.
As I need to integrate the images into a file at the same time, I would like to know if it is possible now or soon?

Here is what the author told me for which I asked if he had a solution:
All you need to do is transfer the database and the files under the specific path.
I assume that articles keep their current IDs during export/import. But even if they change, there are ways to overcome this...

Hello,
I saw that you have integrated new custom fields.

We have added support for all Joomla core custom fields with RO CSVI 7.15.0 version.

As I need to integrate the images into a file at the same time, I would like to know if it is possible now or soon?

We are not sure how Econa stores Joomla custom fields. You can check Custom field import for Joomla articles document where we have listed each of the Joomla core custom field with example content. Check if this helps.

Also you need an active subscription to download the latest RO CSVI 7.15.0 package so to use this feature.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

HI,
Super this compatibility with the custom fields core joomla.
But could you test with the econa field now if I send it to you or tell me if you will help me integrate it if I buy this new version because I just need this field.
The developer seems available to help you if necessary.

Hello,
Yes, you can send us the Econa extension along with the details of the field you are using. We can test it out here and tell you the possible options to import this with Joomla custom fields feature. You can email the details to tharuna@rolandd.com.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Hervé,
Replied your email but still updating the post so it is a reference for users coming with same topic. I see Econa stores the value as JSON format string in database. Right now RO CSVI does not support this format even with the newly developed custom fields.

Two options here.

1. You can write your custom rule to read the values from your csv file and generate JSON format as needed by Econa and save it to database.
2. Import the entire JSON format like example below

alias;catid;image-econa
test-article;2;'{\"key\":\"plg_fields_econa_5ea6c1a94593b\",\"itemId\":5,\"context\":\"com_content.article\",\"filename\":\"econa0\",\"ratios\":[],\"free_ratio\":\"1\",\"params\":{\"sizes\":\"{\\\"label\\\":[\\\"Small\\\",\\\"Medium\\\",\\\"Large\\\"],\\\"identifier\\\":[\\\"S\\\",\\\"M\\\",\\\"L\\\"],\\\"width\\\":[\\\"300\\\",\\\"600\\\",\\\"900\\\"],\\\"quality\\\":[\\\"65\\\",\\\"80\\\",\\\"95\\\"]}\",\"jpeg\":\"1\",\"css\":\"1\",\"auto_edit\":\"1\",\"aspect_ratios\":[],\"free_aspect_ratio\":\"1\",\"og_image\":\"0\",\"display\":{\"display0\":{\"view\":\"archive\",\"image\":[\"S\"],\"image_sizes_attribute\":\"\",\"caption\":\"1\",\"credits\":\"1\",\"link\":\"0\",\"modal\":\"0\"},\"display1\":{\"view\":\"article\",\"image\":[\"M\"],\"image_sizes_attribute\":\"\",\"caption\":\"1\",\"credits\":\"1\",\"link\":\"0\",\"modal\":\"0\"},\"display2\":{\"view\":\"category\",\"image\":[\"S\"],\"image_sizes_attribute\":\"\",\"caption\":\"1\",\"credits\":\"1\",\"link\":\"0\",\"modal\":\"0\"},\"display3\":{\"view\":\"featured\",\"image\":[\"S\"],\"image_sizes_attribute\":\"\",\"caption\":\"1\",\"credits\":\"1\",\"link\":\"0\",\"modal\":\"0\"},\"display4\":{\"view\":\"search\",\"image\":[\"S\"],\"image_sizes_attribute\":\"\",\"caption\":\"1\",\"credits\":\"1\",\"link\":\"0\",\"modal\":\"0\"},\"display5\":{\"view\":\"tag\",\"image\":[\"S\"],\"image_sizes_attribute\":\"\",\"caption\":\"1\",\"credits\":\"1\",\"link\":\"0\",\"modal\":\"0\"}}},\"caption\":\"\",\"credits\":\"\",\"alt\":\"\",\"fieldId\":\"1\",\"extension\":\"jpg\",\"sizes\":[\"S\",\"M\",\"L\"]}'

Hi,
I asked the developer of econa what would be best but no answer yet.
I will look if I do it, if not I consider if the cost is reasonable to integrate this addition. What would be your price taking into account that I buy the new version and that it would be reusable by everyone? I will ask 2 other developers but it would be smarter if it is integrated into your repository!

Hello,

We can have a look at what the work involved may be for supporting this extension. Yes, it would be usable by other users but in all fairness nobody else has asked for support for this extension so far. We will get back to you when we have further looked at how much work it may involve.

At least RO CSVI is extendible so you don't need any changes in the core to make this work as you can develop a standalone plugin you hook into RO CSVI.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Hervé,

Thank you for sending the extension and I have analyzed the way the data is stored and what might be needed for supporting this in a friendly way through RO CSVI. There is too much work here for us to warrant this kind of investment. At this point we will not be supporting this extension in the core of RO CSVI.

As mentioned before, RO CSVI is extendible so you can still do your own development and for example support it via a rule plugin.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,

I do not think that we said, we are going to build this for you. This is going to take us some considerable time to build as it is not a simple extension with 1 or 2 fields. Once it is build we also need to maintain it. There is not enough added value at this point to bring this to the core of RO CSVI.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi! Just wanted to let you know we use Econa to on a lot of our websites. And indeed the Econa custom field plugin store the image data as a json string. I think it will be usefull for us to be able to export and inmport those using RO CSVI. So +1 for this feature ;-)

Hello,
As of now we do not have any plan to support Econa extension. If we see considerable user requests in future we can think on adding it.
Kind regards,

That is why I added it here. Maybe others will also request this in the future. Thanks!
