Can I export my website articles as an XML file for later import into another site and will the same extension import into the new site? Am I going to have to purchase two copies?

Yes you can export Joomla articles and import them to new site using RO CSVI. Not just XML we also support CSV, HTML and XLSX files for export.

Am I going to have to purchase two copies?

No, you need to buy the subscription to download RO CSVI extension. You can then install the extension in multiple domains.
