Resolved Import VM Related products - Add Related Product

Hello Milan,
You did not mention RO CSVI version you are using nor the import operation. While testing I found the issue you mentioned is possible with VirtueMart Product import. I have fixed the code with attached patch file. Please load the patch file and run the import. Let me know on how that goes.

Just so you know, in case you want to remove existing related products and import new ones then that is possible by setting Delete Related Products field to Yes on Options tab in VirtueMart Product import template.

thank you for reply. We are preparing new website to migrate from old website. Old website actually runs Joomla 3.x and VM 3.x and RO CSVI 7.20.0. We are migrating to J5.x , VM4.x and RO CSVI 9.6.1 (latest version). I think patch you sent me is for RO CSVI 9.6.1, correct?

We installed patch you sent on new website (RO CSVI 9.6.1) me but still it doesnt work. I think there is no problem with importing products, because related products are cleared as soon as related products import template is run. When we import product import template, related products keep non changed.

Yes patch file I sent is for RO CSVI 9.6.1 version.

We installed patch you sent on new website (RO CSVI 9.6.1) me but still it doesnt work. Patch file I sent previously has fix only for VirtueMart Product import template and so related products did not change. Please load the attached updated patch file as it has fix for both VirtueMart product import and VirtueMart related products import templates.

What you need to do is

1. Load the updated patch file
2. Reset tasks
3. Edit VirtueMart related product import template and save the template. I have added a new setting on Options tab to Delete related products to set to No. By saving the template this new setting is available on import.
4. Run import and check.

Let me know on how that goes.

thank you for new patch. Now importing products and related products work perfect. Related products are added to already existing related products imported before.

Only thing i cannot see is "Options" tab in Related Products import template. You mentioned we can see "Delete related" option there. I added screenshot to attachment. I can see "Options" tab only in Product import template.
