I am trying to create a Virtuemart import template.
Mostly it's quite straightforward, except that I am using the qvariant customfield plugin, and each product has two custom fields (both Customfield Product variant selection).
My first problem is that the customfield data for this plugin is stored in a table called virtuemart_product_customfields which does not appear to be recognised when updating the fields, so the fields can't be added to a template.
The second problem is that for each product there are two records created in the virtuemart_product_customfields table storing the parameters in the customfield_parameters field.
Is there a way to get around this:
- to get CSVI to recognise the fields in the virtuemart_product_customfields table, and
- for a CSVI import to create two records in the virtuemart_product_customfields table for a single product during the import
Thanks
Hello,
The values of qvaraint are not added to the virtuemart_product_customfields table as RO CSVI does not support this plugin yet in its import or export. If we get more requests from users on this plugin we can then add it to our future release.
Kind regards,
Tharuna

Hi
I also have the problem of wanting to use the qvariant plugin and want to import the parameters.
Any news of when / if this plugin will be supported?
Hello,

As of now there is no ETA on when this plugin will be supported with RO CSVI but if qvaraint plugin stores values to virtuemart_product_customfields table then you can use RO CSVI Custom table import and import values into this table. Only downside of this import is that you need to import values to fields in the same format as stored by qvariant.

Thanks for the reply. It might be handy at some point.
I think I can get around my problem using the Pattern method of loading the variants. In fact that might work even better :-)

Yes and so we have added it to our to do list. We will update once the task is done and files are ready for testing.
Kind regards,
