Less than 2 weeks ago we came with the update of RO Payments 6.1.0 and we received some reports that users cannot open RO Payments because a file cannot be loaded. This is fixed in this RO Payments 6.2.0 release but we were also working on Joomla 4 support and this is ready for RO Payments core so we did not want to wait before releasing Joomla 4 support.
Class Jdideal\addons\addon not found
Some users reported, after the 6.1.1. release that they see the error Class Jdideal\addons\addon not found when opening the dashboard page. This is caused by how files are loaded in Joomla 3 and Joomla 4, that is a little different however it is not consistent because it doesn't happen on all sites. We have now implemented a fallback to check if the file is found or not, in case it is not found, we try loading the file another way. This should satisfy all sites.
Joomla 4 support
Recently we have taken a look at Joomla 4 to see how RO Payments would work, well it did not. A complete crash on installation, not a good start. Once that issue was resolved we looked further and there were quite a few more things to be fixed. These are not necessarily issues but just ironing out the differences between Joomla 3 and Joomla 4. In the screenshot above you can see that we did some test payments with various payment results. All these payments are using the RO Payments payment page and not any of the supported extensions.
We have tested the payment flow, which works but we still have to test all the 3rd party extensions. To be able to test these extensions, they first need to support Joomla 4, as extensions get ready for Joomla 4 we will test them as we can and further improve support for them.
Copy transaction log
One of the changes we had to do was with the window that shows the transaction log. This window is now revamped and uses the new style in both Joomla 3 and Joomla 4. Since we were working here anyway, a Copy Log button has been added, which copies the complete transaction log to the clipboard. This can be useful if you want to check something or post it in our support forum for when you have a question.
