It looks like something happend with transaction ID.
Is ROPayments doing this?

RoPayment with Events booking

Sometimes it is the order number of RO payments and other times it is the Transaction ID of Mollie are in the EB registrant record.
I need the transaction ID of mollie to compare and it is mixed up.

It looks like that after a certain ID it changes.
2756 is the changing point.

Is this a bug, a setting or change in something else?

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for the screenshot but I am unable to see from which column you are taking the Transaction ID, this must be the paymentId column. The trans column is for the transaction number of the extension.

Does the paymentId column help or that is where this data is coming from?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland,

Tuan is saying that the Transaction ID column from the registration is filled by the payment plugin.
This is extracted from Mollie and inserted in Events booking i guess.
So the list you see is an export of events booking registrants.

There is no paymentId as far as I know.
That is your data i guess?

Does this help?

Hello,

So the list you see is an export of events booking registrants.
That is impossible to tell for me from just a screenshot.

Tuan is saying that the Transaction ID column from the registration is filled by the payment plugin.
I checked and RO Payments is not filling this field, it is initially filled by the registration code of EB. RO Payments could but does not change the content of this field and never has, at least I do not see any code related to this in the past 7 years.

What happened between September 4 and September 6, that would be the key to understand what is going on. You did not switch payment plugin by any chance?

There is no paymentId as far as I know.
Not in EB but in RO Payments.

I am hesitant to just change the content of that field because other users may rely on the EB order number as it corresponds with the order number you see in the transaction list in RO Payments.

Still I would like to know what happened in September because RO Payments has no such code, perhaps something else does that. That should be checked against a copy of the site from September 4 or before.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thanks for your reply Roland!
I will check back with Tuan to see what he knows.
He changed quite a lot in the lost weeks so I can imagine that it has something to do with EB self.

Hi Roland,

It looks like I switched from EB mollie plugin from Tuan to yours at the moment it changed.

So just tested to switch back and the mollie transaction code is added as how i need it...
That means I can't use your extension unless you would look for a fix/setting to choose what transaction ID is added.
So with Tuan's plugin the transaction ID in the registrant record is same as mollie. It looks like tr_YsDLHboNK3
Your payment plugin is adding your Order Number in the transaction ID of the registrant record.

Hope you change it or add it as an option because I like your extras.
But the comparing feature is more important than your other extras.

Have a good day!

Hey Joris,

It looks like I switched from EB mollie plugin from Tuan to yours at the moment it changed.
That makes sense because of two different plugins the behavior is usually different.

That means I can't use your extension unless you would look for a fix/setting to choose what transaction ID is added.
Find attached an updated version of the Events Booking plugin of RO Payments. After installing the plugin via Extensions -> Manage -> Install, you can set in the plugin options which value you want to use. Go to Extensions -> Plugins and find the RO Payments - Events Booking plugin and open it. In the dropdown select RO Payments. Save your changes and the RO Payments transaction ID will be set in Events Booking registrations.

Your payment plugin is adding your Order Number in the transaction ID of the registrant record.
That is not correct, as I said before RO Payments does not update that field at all. This is not RO Payments order number, this is the order number of Events Booking.

Let me know how it goes.
