Hello,

I imported products with images to VM3 (J3.4.5)

I had 300 products and in the field "file" they all had a value. This image name was the product sku, because the images are named skuxxx.jpg
For some (80) products there was a value in the import table but there was no image on the server.

So now all my products show in product list "Media Files" value (1) (see attachment) - even if there is no image on the server.

How can I unlink the Media files from the images that have no actual file on the server?
The table xxx_virtuemart_product_medias has no entries for these products.

Thanks
Sigrid

Since your CSV file had a name for image CSVI has created an entry for the image. For the rows which dont have no images you may have to set the value to empty and so no product and media relation is created.

There is no option in CSVI to unlink only few entries but for removing all Go to Maintenance -> Maintenance and choose VirtueMart in the first dropdown and Remove product media link in the second dropdown and then click Continue. This will remove all the relations between products and images. But again Please remember that this option will remove all media and product relation.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Sigrid,

But in which table is this media entry created when I make the import? I cannot find anything.
There is no entry in table xxx_virtuemart_product_medias
But in VM3 it shows "Media Files" (1)

Thanks

Hello Sigrid,

Have looked at this, I think this is an issue in VM. Products with no images get a 1 because VM counts the missing image as 1 :) That is what I see with the VM sample data, clicking on the 1 shows me no media items either.
Kind regards,

RolandD

By the way, I just found out how to solve this (1) media file problem. Because if you filter on only up to 20 products, the media image or the no-image thumb is shown in the VM Product list. But if you have more then 20 products in your list then only a symbol and (1) is shown.

There is a field in the configuration:
in "Templates" - "Max items listed displaying media"
--> Set this to 100 and your media images are shown in the product list :cheer:
See also the "old view" in my first posting!
