I am trying to set up what I thought was going to be an easy/simple CSvi template for exporting/importing new prices.
I want to export Sku,product_price , alter any prices and then reimport to change all the prices in the store.
But the export is pulling prices pre-tax & we have set up all the products manually in Virtuemart to use UK 20% VAT Tax.

In its simplest form (hopefully)
Can I use VM Product Export, to export product sku, product name, product price, where the price exported will include the tax/vat?
So that I can change any prices & re-import, where the prices being imported will already include tax

TIA
Andy

Yes, you need to use the salesprice field. Be aware of the shopper groups if you use them, you may need to set this as well in the template.

To import you will need to use the field price_with_tax and you must also include the product_tax field with a value of 20. This way CSVI can calculated the price excluding tax.

Prices are always stored without any taxes and/or discounts.
Kind regards,

Quick Question - see screenshot
When I tested this I see there is a new tax rule added by CSVi, but we already had one set up.
How can we use the one already set up in the import?

Edit - ALSO, We just noticed that all the products in the store now have VAT/Tax added twice & this seems to be because of the 2 tax rules here.

Thanks
Andy

Hey Andy,

You need to include the calc_kind field with the value VatTax. As you can see CSVI defaults to Tax instead of VatTax. There are too many tax options in VM :)

As for the prices, you can empty the prices via the maintenance menu and then do a new clean import.
Kind regards,
