I have updated a site from a Beta version of CSVi6 to 6.1.2 where I had previously had Virtuemart multi variant imports working perfectly for my needs ;)

After updating to 6.1.2, it looks like something may have changed slightly & I just need a little help.

importing the attached import CSV file works OK & and products works well.
But viewing the products the variant dropdown is now using the product name, where before this used the "custom name" only.

So instead of the dropdown now showing just sizes (as in my CSV file) S,M,L,XL, the dropdowns now show "Test Product S","Test Product M","Test Product L",etc

Has something changed since my testing the beta versions?

Yes, a bug creeped in :( This is fixed in this thread. Please apply the patch and see if it works for you as well.
Kind regards,

mmm?

I downloaded the patch file from this thread as suggested, but when I tried to upload it, I got a failure page as per below screenshot?

I am now wandering wether I should have uninstalled the beta versions, before I installed the 6.1.2 version?

EDIT - I uninstalled fully and reinstalled with clean version of 6.1.2, with virtuemart plugins & this patch file still wont load?

Hey Andy,

Perhaps there is a problem unzipping the file? After loading the patch I get a result that says:
Copied patch file from /tmp/com_csvi/patch/1442235200/administrator/components/com_csvi/addon/com_virtuemart/model/import/product.php to /administrator/components/com_csvi/addon/com_virtuemart/model/import/product.php
You could of course unpack the file yourself and place it in the folder /administrator/components/com_csvi/addon/com_virtuemart/model/import/.

A clean installation is always an option. You can leave the database as is and just install the VM add-on and then CSVI and after that install CSVI and then the VM add-on.
Kind regards,

RolandD

I put the update file in manually and this solves my problem here.
I assume this will be included in the next release of CSVi.

Yes, the fix is already comitted.

The patch file no longer working is because of a new security layer in Joomla, which doesn't allow the upload of php files. Will be fixed as well.
Kind regards,

RolandD
