Hi,
I have used CSVI Pro since 2011 and have been very satisfied with it.
Now i have upgraded to CSVI Pro6.4.2, VM3.0.12 and J3.4.5 and made an clean install of CSVI Pro.
I have created my template again from the buttom and ran the import with success.
It updated the product_in _stock field as expected. But it also created a lot of new products (421 to be precise) in the products table and this was not expected. :(
If I do the excact same thing with CSVI Pro 5.21.2 it behaves as expected and do not create new products.

Hello,

You have not posted the debug log so I can't give you any feedback on what happened with your import. It sounds like a misconfiguration. Post the debug log of your import as requested at the top of this page and I will check it for you. A little explanation of how your import file is setup is useful too. Now it looks like a bunch of numbers :)

But it also created a lot of new products (421 to be precise) in the products table and this was not expected.
In the template you have the option not to create any new products. Click the Advanced button and on the File tab you will have the option Skip new items. You can set this to Yes for the stock update, so no new products are created in any further imports.

To delete these unwanted products, you can run an export of the product_sku field, delete all products you want to keep in the export file, so your list only has products to be deleted. Add the column product_delete with a value of Y. You can import this file to delete the unwanted products.
Kind regards,

RolandD

There is no next file, you can upload multiple files. In case you are uploading a php file, this is not allowed. You will need to zip the file first before uploading it.

Check if you can upload the zipped file.
Kind regards,

RolandD

I don't understand why the attached file doesn't show up here. From my side it uploades OK.
Anyway, I'll try Again. :)

Found that the file size was to big, so here is only a part of the log. (hope thats enough)
If you need all the screenshots just let me know and i'll make single files of them.

If the file is bigger than 250kb it won't upload, in that case you can split it into multiple files and upload them in multiple posts.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
Looking into the logs shows that there are new product_skus in the csv file you are trying to import, CSVI will do the import based on product_sku, Since these product_sku are not there already new rows have been created. For example 105-144, 109-550 new insertion has been created for these SKUs.

Skip new items option has been set to "No". Try setting it to "yes" in template options and these new entries will be avoided.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
