Resolved VM import / export - shoppers, products & reviews

Hello :).

I'm kind of new with csv improved even though I've been subscribing for a while, but now I have finally started to dig deeper into it :).

I'm in the works of setting up a brand new store but I want to migrate all shoppers and certain products from my current store.

Will csv improved handle all these things :

Products & child products with break designs stockable custom fields
All product reviews (these are for parent products only)
All joomla users + vm shoppers

Is there anything I should keep in mind when I'm setting up the new store? Or will this be as simple as it gets? :)

Hello Peter,
The things you have asked for your migration are all possible with CSVI, i have linked the corresponding documentations so it helps you.

Products & child products with break designs stockable custom fields

The documentation stockable custom fields import will tell you how you can import your stockable custom fields with CSVI.

All product reviews (these are for parent products only)

With rating operation for VirtueMart in CSVI you can import your reviews too. Have a look at the documentation
here.

All joomla users + vm shoppers

Yes even this is possible with CSVI, have a look at the documentation import VirtueMart users

I would suggest you to try with few record at first and see how it goes. If all good you can try importing more records else you can send us the debug log and sample import file so we can guide you in what went wrong. To know how to get the debug log, have a look at "Where to get the debug information?" section on top of this page.
