Hi Roland,
Perhaps it is a setting or I am doing something wrong.

What I did is import new products, sku, category name, description, etc for default language English.
Now I trying to load translations for these new products.
So a new import template, default language Dutch, with SKU, category name translated, description field translated.
What now happens, it somehow overrides the English default category name.
I am lost!
Or can I not import category translation at the same time as translating other product related fields, like description?

PS I did a small hack as you recommend to replace | with a { to avoid problems with multiple uses of | sign
But that

This is my input file:
A20101S^Audi[A4 (B8) Avant | 2008-2015{- Alle producten[reistassensets^Audi A4 (B8) Avant 2008- reistassenset^
(3x trolleytas + 3x reistas)
^
Audi A4 ........

A20201S^Audi[A4 (B6) Avant | 2001-2004{Audi[A4 (B7) Avant | 2004-2008{- Alle producten[reistassensets^Audi A4 (B6 & B7) Avant 2001-2008 reistassenset^
(3x trolleytas + 3x reistas)
^
Audi A4......

Hello,

You cannot import category translations with the product import, you will need to do that with the category import. Product translations can be imported with the product import. Have a look at the Setting up a VirtueMart multi-language shop it has examples of how to import translations.
Kind regards,

RolandD
