Resolved VM Cat Exp csv data in wrong or blank columns

Hi

When exporting VM3 Product Categories the resulting csv file has data that is in the wrong column or in some cases appears under blank columns beyond the required column headings.

I have attached some sample csv data demonstrating the problem. There should only be 9 columns of data under 9 headings but some data is in the wrong column and some in blank columns.

Because of the problem I cannot Import the same data to another site.

Hello,

First look at the file tells me you are not using any text enclosures when running the export. Set the text enclosure in your export template to " (double quotes). Save the template, then run your export again.

Second look seems to say that this csv file has been saved with a spreadsheet after exporting it. The file has a lot of trailing comma's at the end of the lines.

Run the export with the text enclosure set and see how it goes.
