Hello there. I've been struggling with the import of custom fields for my products for VM. I've added the custom fields information I want to import along with my products but everything seems to import just fine except for my new data.

I don't have an error log file as it thinks everything is being imported correctly.

I'm using Joomla: 3.3.6
CSVI: 5.20
Virtuemart: 3.0.2

Thoughts?

Cheers,

David J.

Hello David,

I don't have an error log file as it thinks everything is being imported correctly.
I am not asking for an error log but a debug log. This just shows what happens during import. That is still needed for me to know what happens.

Your custom fields have been added to CSVI by updating the Available Fields? (assuming these are text custom fields).
Kind regards,

RolandD

Sorry for the delay in writing back. I ran another import and grabbed the debug file which is attached here. I did run the available fields update under Maintenance > CSVI Pro > Update Available Fields before importing it again.

Thanks so much for your help.

Cheers,

Hello David,

The debug log tells me this
No custom available fields found
This makes me wonder, what type of custom fields have you created? Can you post a screenshot of the Accessory Rails?
Kind regards,

RolandD

I attached a sample of one of the fields.

All of our fields are going to be the same, just text fields that will show up on a table below the product description. We are not using them as product options or the like. It's more like a list of features that will also be used as option filters, etc.

Do you want admin access? I can set you up with the backend if that will be faster. If we get one working, I can make the necessary change for the other fields.

I also attached a capture of the list of available fields in CSV if that's helpful.

Hello,

I see why CSVI says it can't find the custom fields. The textarea field is missing in the product import where it is present in the available fields. Attached is a patch file you can load and after that you should be able to import your fields.

Let me know how it goes.
