When I try to import a file for virtuemart I received a "No supported fields have been found in the import file". When I try to export a file I get a "Unfortunately, there are no fields set for this template.When I try to export a file from Virtuemart I received Internal Error", When I try to edit a template I get a " Layout admin:com_csvi/template/defualt not found" error. I am guessing something didn't install correctly to receive so many error. How do I fix it, re-installing didn't help.

When I try to import a file for virtuemart I received a "No supported fields have been found in the import file".

Probably fields you are trying to import in your file are not matching the fields in the database. You need to post your import file for us to check. You can add template fields to your template by going to Template >> Template fields, select your import template and add the fields you want to import and also set the option "Use file for configuration" to No on your template settings under file tab. Try import after that.

When I try to export a file I get a "Unfortunately, there are no fields set for this template.

You need to add template fields to your export template by going to Template >> Template fields so CSVI knows which fields you want to export. Don't forget to select your export template while adding fields.

Did you do a clean installation or an update from CSVI 5?
Also, when you install you need to install the order of installation should be CSVI component first and then the addon. Try doing the install in this order and see if it helps. Update your available fields after installation.

The installation was clean, I have never used or installed this product before and yes I installed the component first than the plugin.I don't think the problem is with the file since I used the same one on your demo site and it worked fine, but I am attaching it anyways. As for the export, the template has fields attached ( see first image) but still received this message. And that still doesn't address the edit problem.

I have attached pictures of the other errors I am getting.

Hello,
Let us solve one problem at a time, the third screenshot shows that your installation didn't go well. Did you see any errors while installing CSVI? or Can you try to remove the complete installation of CSVI and then addon from extension manager and delete the tables starting with #__csvi by going to phpmyadmin (#__ will be your table prefix) and then do a fresh install of CSVI? See if that helps else send me a private message of your Joomla administrator login details and database login details, i will check the installation.

I uninstalled the component and all the plugins and deleted the tables. I reinstalled the component and than the Virtuemart plugin and received no errors. I recreated the import template and tried to import a file and received the "No supported fields have been found in the import file" error. That same file receives no errors when I preview it in your demo site. I have attached the file here.

Glad to know that your installation errors are solved. Regarding your import file, you need to add template fields to template as your field names in your import file are different from database field names. To add template fields go to Template >> Template fields, select your import template and add the fields in the order of your import file. Also, set Use file for configuration option to No under file tab in template settings. On demo site we have template fields added to import template and your file don't show correct on demo site, check the values in preview. Add the template fields and try doing import. Let me know how it goes.

Hi, I never received and error during installation and I have the same errors as I had before. I checked my database and the field names are the same as my file and my file works with your demo systems fine so it isn't the field name that is the issue. What else could it be?

This cannot be correct, for example take the first column in your import file, the field name is Product Name but database field name is product_name. Since the field names are different, you are getting "No supported fields have been found in the import file", You need to add these fields to your template to do the import as i explained in my previous post.The reason you see preview on our demo site is because we already have these template fields added for our example import templates. Please have a look at the Import VirtueMart products documentation to know about product import. Also, for VirtueMart product import product_sku is required field and i don't see any such field in your import file. You need to have this field for import to work correct.

Ok so I tried adding fields to the template and I still got an error. I tried renaming the fields in the file to the database name and still get errors. I still can't edit a template, I still have all the same errors as I had before.

Thank you for sending your site login details. I tested your site and i don't see any errors as you have mentioned. I could edit template, added template fields, also did a test import and all went good. Can you check your site and see my test import?
