Hello. We've used CSVI for many years and this is the first time we've encountered an issue like this. We create a new template using your instructions (https://www.csvimproved.com/support/export/204-virtuemart/842-export-virtuemart-products). Then we go to add Template Fields but it only shows fields that are in the regular virtuemart_products table, not the virtuemart_products_en_gb table. We have made sure that English is specified in the template. We have also made sure that the CSVI plugin for Virtuemart is published (along with 8 other CSVI plugins).

FYI: We have recently upgraded this client site from Joomla 2.5 to 3.4 and Virtuemart 2 to 3.

Any help you can suggest would be great! Thanks.

FYI: We're using CSVI Pro 6.4.2 and Virtuemart 3.0.12.

Hello,
Try updating available fields and see if it solves the issue.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks for your quick reply. Perhaps it would be wise to have these instructions/suggestions more prominent in your documentation or FAQ. Anyway I followed the instructions you provided and it generates the following error:

Error
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 SQL=INSERT INTO `sbvsn_csvi_availablefields`

The good news is that it DID add the extra fields from the products table, so at this point I think we are good. Thanks for your help!

Hello,

The reason you do see the fields from the products table is that the error occurred after processing that table, so a stroke of luck :)

I still wonder why it stopped as it did. This usually means something is not installed. Perhaps you installed some CSVI addons for extensions you don't use is that possible?

What are the last entries from the log result page? You can find this by going to CSVI Pro -> Logs and then click on the name of the update you did to see the details. It is probably a long list, so you may need to scroll to the end to see the last results.

Perhaps it would be wise to have these instructions/suggestions more prominent in your documentation or FAQ.
I have added a section about it to the Getting started page. Thank you for the suggestion.
Kind regards,

RolandD
