I found while trying to figure out how the new interface worked...I'm posting it here because it causes a system crash when active and needs to be error trapped.

Hope this helps

Hello Chris,

Thank you for this report, I was able to reproduce it and it is fixed in the attached patch. You can load the patch file and the error will be gone.

I went to maintenance > load patch file > uploaded the zip........said no patch file found.

So I just uploaded via FTP.

Didn't see anything with help button to be able to tell me what format or just file itself.....but how would it know where to go?

Reading this:

http://www.csvimproved.com/en/support/questions-and-answers/905-how-to-load-a-patch-file

I would expect it to update, but got error above.

That should be it, I just tried and it worked.

but how would it know where to go?
The file structure is in the zip file, that is how it knows where to go.

So I just uploaded via FTP.
You can do that as well, just follow the folder structure in the zip file.

I would expect it to update, but got error above.
You will get this message if CSVI has not received any file details. The amazing thing about computers, works one day but not the next and nobody changed anything (silly)

If you want, you can send me a private message with Joomla and FTP login details and I can take a look as to why no file details are received.

Edit: No need to send the details. I just found out that it is broken as soon as you update Joomla to version 3.4.4. Going to investigate.
Kind regards,

RolandD

It is the new Joomla version which added a layer of security, stopping the upload of the patch files.

Is there a workaround or will it be FTP upload fix only going forward?

You can't fix the upload if the upload is broken :) I am working on a workaround, for now you can unzip the patch file and place the file manually on the server.

Sure...understood......side note:

How do I represent a "NULL" for a table cell in the .csv? I tried "\N" but that didn't seem to work.....probably because of ASCII?

Thanks

CSVI doesn't process NULL values, by default Joomla doesn't update NULL values.
