Hello all from Madrid,

I am completely new with CSVI Pro and I am trying to configure my online shop following the steps in the tutorials. Well I already have problems trying to create my import template.
My supplier offers a csv file with diferent fields named diferently from the recommended csvi fields. Ok, I think the first step is to re-name all the fields, isn´t it?. First problem: how do I re-name the fields if I have different "atribute1, atribute 2, url1, url2,url3, tax, original price, price after discount, .... (I attach a sample file).
Also my main problem is that I don´t know if I am creating a valid template. The one I have created is based in Product_sku as the field name and to combine I have set product_name ( I have the same products with different colors or with different sizes). Could you help me a little about how to start?
Thanks in advance for your help!

To know how to map your fields with CSVI fields please use the tutor CSVI Field Mapper

To create your own template use how to create a template link for reference.

To create template fields use Adding template fields link for reference.

Hello,

No need to rename them, as Tharuna said you can use the Field Mapper to help you link the fields.

To know which fields are used where have a look at the Visual Available Fields for VirtueMart.

Feel free to ask specific questions. Best is to start simple with a few fields and add more fields as needed and you will become a Pro :)
Kind regards,

Hello again,

well, I am trying to create the template via Field Mapper. I have uploaded a small sample of the file (the one I attached you before), and this is what I got.

Any suggestion about what I am doing wrong and how can I fix it?

Hello,

What kind of file did you upload? CSVI doesn't hanlde XLSX files, you need to save the file as either CSV or XLS. Large XLS files can cause memory issues, just so you are aware of that.
Kind regards,
