Hi @all,

while importing I get the error, that a required field is missing. Yes, indeed, the product_sku and some other fields I defined at template fields, are not visible in preview and for that I cannot import my data. I have changed the name of the product_sku from Artikelnummer to product_sku at the import field, set it to first column, I can't see product_sku in preview and therefore I can't import.

Also my rule for combining categories does not that what I want. I tried both, assigning the main category to category_path combined with a second and third level at a combine field doesn't the trick or assigning all three category levels to a combine field works. First level is always missing.

What does I make wrong?

Best wishes

Romana

Dear Romana,

Thank you for the detailed attachments.

I am trying to understand why the product_sku disappears from the preview.Remove the Your field value for the product_sku and see if it remains in the preview.

The rule is not working because you have the wrong name. You need to remove the Your field name and only use the category_path name.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Rolandd,

Thank You for the quick reply!

Thank you for the detailed attachments.

supporting my Joomla extension BwPostman I know how urgent detailed informations are. ;)

Remove the Your field value for the product_sku and see if it remains in the preview.

Okay, I removed "Your field" definition from field "product_sku", set this column to first column, nothing changes.

You need to remove the Your field name and only use the category_path name.

Is this interpretation right:

I removed "Your field" definition from "category_path", created a new combine field with the first level of categories, moved it between "category_path" and the other two categories. Then I changed the rule source field from "category_path,Kategorie2_de,Kategorie3_de" to "Kategorie1_de,Kategorie2_de,Kategorie3_de", but also nothing changed.

A suggestion: It would be very helpful to see ordering number and published state in the template field list…

Best wishes

Okay, next try:

I minimized a CSV file to product_sku, product_name, product_s_desc, product_desc, but even this don't show the product_sku but the other three fields. Import gives the message:

These fields have been found but are not supported by CSVI:
product_sku

And indeed, this field does not appear at the available fields. Multiple updates of available fields does not help. A look at the table #__csvi_avaliable fields offers a product_sku at various component_tables, but the only entry for virtuemart_products is one for export. But in the select list "field name" at "edit template field" the entry is selectable.

May I add an entry here for import? Is that enough?

Hello Romana,

Ok, if the product_sku is not showing up in the list of available fields that will explain why you don't see it in the preview. Try this. Go to Maintenance -> Tasks -> Click Reset and confirm. After that update the available fields. Do you have the field now?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Rolandd,

I would do so, but this is a test installation on my local server, which isn't reachable from web.

If there is a quick possibility (I'm rather new to CSVI) to save and restore templates, the appropriate fields and rules, I would make a test installation on my web server to give You access. Or would it help to post a dump of the tables?

Kind regards

Romana

Dear rolandd,

I have a workaround for the missing fields. After installing CSVI Pro on a second Joomla installation I there found several additional available fields I copied the table to my first installation and now I am able to import. Now I got two new questions, but that will give new threads.

Best wishes

Dear Romana,

The other thing you can do is this. These extra fields are stored in an SQL file, you can find it in administrator/components/com_csvi/addon/com_virtuemart/install/availablefields.sql. If you take those SQL statements and replace the #__ with your own prefix and then run it. You will have the full set of extra available fields.
Kind regards,

RolandD
