Resolved Server crash after test import

In a complete new virtuemart installation yesterday I tried to import about 6000 products. Because I got no response of the script, I interrupted the process. The server was crashed and I couldn't restart it.

The problem was - the script copied the whole joomla installation in the tmp-directory of joomla and again in that new temp-directory and again and again. Until the webspace was full.

What could be the reason for this desaster?

The reason should be that the template has not been saved twice, this is an issue being worked on.
