Resolved Sales price and child products

Hello

I have a simple product export template for VM.

The idea is to show the price without tax in a column and the price with tax in another one.

Therefore Im using product_price for the first one and salesprice for the second one.


So the issue is with "salesprice" and uncategorised child products, is not adding the tax for child products which don't have category assigned, therefore is showing the product_price for those. The "normal" products work fine showing price with tax.

I do not see an issue with this if the child has it's own price. If the child takes the price from the parent, I do see the price of the parent without tax.

How have you setup your child product prices?

Hi Roland

The child has its own price but the sales price is the base price + tax and this is being ignored by CSVIpro.

By default if you create a child product you will see it inherits the tax rule from the parent, therefore the final sales price adds the tax, however the field "salesprice" for this case of uncategorised childs is exporting the base price of the child.

My setup is standar, I just create child products and leave the "apply generic rules" for the taxes therefore the final sales price gets tax added.

Hello,

this is being ignored by CSVIpro.
How did you reach that conclusion? It's not CSVI calculating the prices, CSVI just asks VirtueMart for the prices.

With a new parent/child I am able to replicate what you see. So I will have to look further into this as to why VirtueMart is returning the wrong price and get back to you later.

Hello,

Dug deep into the depths of VirtueMart price calculations and I believe the attached patch file fixes the child products without category price issue.

Apply the patch and run your export, then verify the prices in the export file. Let me know how it goes.
