Hello RO CSVI Support Team,

I have moved a Joomla website to a new server. Since then, the database connection in RO CSVI no longer works during the import.

I have configured a Joomla Connection in RO CSVI, so I would expect RO CSVI to automatically use the current Joomla database connection. However, it seems that RO CSVI is still using old database credentials from the previous server.

During the import, the following error message appears:

Access denied for user 'p123456'@'172.XX.XX.XXX' (using password: YES)

The username p123456 belongs to the old database connection from the previous server and is no longer valid on the new server.

I have already tried creating the import template again from scratch. I also tried setting up a Remote Connection with the new database credentials. However, both attempts resulted in the same error message.

Could you please let me know where RO CSVI might still be storing this old connection, or how I can update the connection correctly so that the current Joomla database connection is used?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

I guess you are running Import from database option. In that case there are two types of connection RO CSVI uses. Local and remote database connection. Local database uses Joomla database connection and remote database connection uses credentials set in template and connects with the given details.

Access denied for user 'p123456'@'172.XX.XX.XXX' (using password: YES)

The username p123456 belongs to the old database connection from the previous server and is no longer valid on the new server.

Did you also change the new credentials in the import template on Source tab?

Could you please let me know where RO CSVI might still be storing this old connection, or how I can update the connection correctly so that the current Joomla database connection is used?

RO CSVI uses credentials from template source tab. So please check if these details are correct.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
