Hi,

I ve been using CSVI for a while and now I ve installed 6.3.0 together with the plg_csviaddon_vm plugin. I was hoping that it'd work as I really like the new views, however it started with the installation of the vm plugin which ended with a white screen.

Well, I continued and searched for av. fields... and noticed that in the import section product_sku and product_in_stock just dont show up, whereas they do for export.

Its not a real surprise now that the import doesnt work. Preview looks good but no products are imported:

Unsupported Failure These fields have been found but are not supported by CSVI:

product_sku
product_in_stock

. Either these fields do not exist in your system, or the list of available fields need to be updated. To update the list of available fields go to Available Fields and click on Update.

Log is also attached.

Running on Joomla 3.4.5 and VM VirtueMart 3.0.11.4.

Hello,

however it started with the installation of the vm plugin which ended with a white screen
This means you did get an error. It would be good to find out which error you get. You will need to turn on error reporting in the System -> Global configuration -> Server -> Error reporting. Set this to Maximum. Run the installation of the VM addon again. You should see an error in that case.

The following issues you get are pretty much caused by the failed installation I would say. Let's fix that first.
Kind regards,

RolandD

okay, just tried it again, the error 'maximum' reporting just showed again a blank page, however the plugin was inactive but installed... what I ve then done is to remove CSVI completely (tables as well). Installed everything again ... with the blank page but no it works as usual...

no idea why it shows the blank page... but it works now, weird...

okay, me again... I dunno whats wrong, it cd be related to the local setup (xampp). When i try it on my online test server the plugin is just installed.. no issues at all... on xampp I get the blank page.

The Website (Setup of Joomla) is completely identical as I used Akeeba.. so I dunno where the white page is coming from.

What i ve tried is to install the plugin manually.. with manually I mean I just copy & pasted the data of the plugin into the correct plugin folder... and then... it worked...

Any idea?

As long as you don't get the error, I have no idea. A blank page means you have a fatal error but error reporting is turned off somewhere. You can check the documentation at CSV Improved gives me a blank screen to see if you can find out why.

Well, the issue was related to max_execution_time... I changed it to '200' ... took a long while (1-2 minutes? or even longer) and then the plugin was installed... changed the following line in php.ini

; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
; http://php.net/max-execution-time
; Note: This directive is hardcoded to 0 for the CLI SAPI
max_execution_time=200
