When I try to import products with same name but different sku, csvi has a limit generating alias for new product

Duplicate entry 'collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-10' for key 'slug' SQL=INSERT INTO `wer9i_virtuemart_products_it_it` (`virtuemart_product_id`,`slug`) VALUES (40992, 'collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-10')

Infact in my store there are products with these aliases:

collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-10, collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-7, collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-5, collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-3

So when csvi arrives to 1-10 end to generate different alias and goes in that error

It adds products with same name up to a certain number (please see csvi_error_alias attached)

If you eneter in my csvi you can start IMPORTAZIONE ALBI ERRORE ALIAS and AGGIORNA VENDUTI ERRORE ALIAS templates using default source file. You will notice the error. It is a problem present in two import template.

Can we solve it? thanks

How many products with the same name do you have? Please post your debug log and the file you are importing.

Actually I have in my store 12 products with same name...the alias used by these products are:

collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-6
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-7
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-8
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-9
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-10
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-2
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-3
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-4
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-5
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-1
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1-1
collana-cosmo-supplementi
collana-cosmo-supplementi-1

If you want I can give you admin in order to let you to try import directly.

Hello,

Looking at the debug log, it seems to me your installation is not up-to-date. I am missing certain pieces in the debug log. Can you update your CSVI installation to version 6.5.3 and also update the VirtueMart addon to 6.5.3.

Once that is updated, run the import again and if you still have an issue, please post the new debug log.

Problem seems to be solved. I will give you confirm after other tests.

Update causes another problem with prices update that was solved in previous version. The topis is this
