Resolved problem csv pro6.5.7 and Joomla 3.5.1 FIXED

I am having problems with csvi installation on an upgraded Joomla/Virtuemart site. I saw installation errors when trying to upgrade so I cleaned all the csvi folders from the site and removed all database tables. The Extension manager now apparently installs the component and VM plugin correctly, and I can see the folders on the site and the tables in the database. However, the component does not appear in the components menu.
I then tried using DIscover, which found the component but white screened when I tried to install and the component is still not visible in the admin system.

Additional information. I tried a second run using DIscover and had an "succesful installation" message but the component still does not appear in the admin component menu.

Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Can you run the below query in database and check if there is an entry in Joomla extension table? Make sure you replace #__ with your table prefix.

 SELECT * FROM #__extensions WHERE type = 'component' and name LIKE '%csvi%';

Hi I have since done a far more detailed clearance of the database, removing ALL references to csvi . The component then installed correctly. It is not sufficient just to remove the main csvi tables.
